After an unforgettable set at Pacha NYC back in May on his Do Androids Dream Part 2 tour, Andrew Bayer is back this Saturday with all brand new music for our listening pleasure! The Anjunabeats innovator’s latest venture is the Anamnesis Trilogy – a series of monthly releases spanning from October until the end of the year. Bayer’s vision behind Anamnesis is to recall past inspirations from trance and progressive’s golden eras and spin them with a 2015 twist. This Saturday, we are lucky to be some of the first to hear this trilogy in full!

ANAMNESIS : the idea that humans possess knowledge from past incarnations and that learning consists of rediscovering that knowledge within us

We couldn’t of a better name for Bayer’s trilogy, in which he draws inspiration from past trance trance and progressive tracks and “rediscovers” them with his own modern twist.

“The Anamnesis Trilogy is all about reviving, reinterpreting and reimagining what I feel are classic – and lost – messages and motifs in trance and progressive. In this EDM-era, big room music has become obsessed with high impact, instant gratification and, to be honest, absolutely uninspiring and boring arrangements. I was listening back over my favourite trance and progressive records, and remembering when dance music was about a sense of journey and progression.
Records where there was more than just a breakdown and Bro-DM drops… records where you sometimes moved across what felt like three different – and equally mind-expanding – records just to get the REAL moment in the track. The three records in the Anamnesis Trilogy are all inspired by this sensibility and era, but 2015 Bayer style.”
– Andrew Bayer

Bayer’s first release from the Anamnesis Trilogy “Nobody Told Me” is set for release on Friday, October 2nd. His past releases have proven to be some of the most innovative in the trance genre, such as his track “Super Human”.

The Anjunabeats family is full of legendary producers, but Andrew Bayer might be one the most precious gems in the roster. His productions are absolutely top notch and he rarely plays festivals or shows. When he does perform, he brings audiences on an expansive auditory journey that few artists can match.EDM Tunes

Bayer even played at NYC’s legendary venue Madison Square Garden last October with Above & Beyond for ABGT100! Check out his full set:
