Interview with Steve Hulme, Director of Pacha Recordings

Pacha is one of the biggest brands in dance music, having successfully spread its sophisticated club formula to the four corners of the world through a strong network of club franchises.
There are Pacha nightclubs in New York City, Buenos Aires, London, Sao Paulo, Munich and Madrid, and the original Pacha nightclub in Ibiza is considered to be one of the finest venues in the world.
But surprisingly, the twin-cherries powerhouse has never offered the label’s catalog digitally. Until today.
Pacha Recordings has big ambitions to become one of the biggest record labels in house music, and with 30 years of Pacha success behind it few will stand in its way.
Beatportal caught up with Steve Hulme, Director of Pacha Recordings, and grilled him about the label’s big plans and why he thinks it’ll be a top 5 label on Beatport before the year is out.

Studio 54, that shrine to sex, drugs and disco, is getting its own TV series - but without a Jagger, Capote or Warhol in sight. The immortal Manhattan nightclub, which defined ’70s excess in all its hedonistic glory, will be the centerpiece of “Studio,” a new drama series airing on Showtime.
