The Party
Over two unforgettable days, the historic venue will be transformed into a pleasure palace for the senses, featuring the sights of the most eye-popping light, laser and video show in town, and the sounds of some of the world’s best DJs – all under one giant tent.

On Saturday, DAY 1 with New York favorites BORIS, OSCAR Gand CHRISS VARGAS. These emperors of NYC-style tribal and bass will fill the island waterfront with the kind of thunderous builds and drops that could only come from down below. Made in Colombia's VARGAS will supply the tropical heat; Miami's OSCAR G's got his own legendary thump and groove; and Pacha resident BORIS will let loose all the sinister tracks you know and love. It’s time to get dirty.

Use the force on Sunday, DAY 2, behind the ecstatic rhythms and archangel melodies of rising superstar AVICII. The Swedish house Jedi is taking the global underground by storm with originals and remixes that paint the line between tough and lush, electro and trance. New material like the pitch-shifting "Sweet Dreams," which hands the Eurythmics original over to a possessed robot; and a full album of singles on Ultra (nine awesome cuts), shows that he’s as prolific as he is inventive. There’s no one better to lead you into the light.


 

The Venue
Bigger, you say? Different? How about this: A 176-acre former military outpost, off-limits to the public for 200 years. Smack between Wall Street and Brooklyn, Governor’s Island is a landmark, a national park, and uncharted territory for electronic music and its fans. The massive space is the focus of a slew of development initiatives, including ones to bring art and music to its shores. New York bought it from the national government in 2003 for a measly $1:

  Directions
Getting to Governors Island is just a quick, 5-minute boat ride away. The event will be accessible via New York Water Taxi. The Water Taxi's will leave every 15 minutes from The Battery Maritime Building. Additional pickup locations may be added. The closest subway stations are: 1 at South Ferry, 4, 5 at Bowling Green and R at Whitehall St. Station. Various city bus lines also service The Battery Maritime Building with stops near the ferry terminal. You may take the M1, M6, M9 and M15. Taxis and car may pull directly in front of the terminal for drop offs only. There is garage parking across the street from the Battery Maritime Building for a fee. The Battery Maritime Building is located at 10 South Street in downtown Manhattan, adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry.
